The Spinal Immobilisation Vacuum Mattress is recognized as the first choice in clinical spinal support and especially where evacuation may be delayed. Therefore this type of stretcher should be your first choice.

The vacuum mattress provides fast, effective and comfortable immobilisation by moulding to the specific contours of the patient's body, reducing pressure point tenderness and rehabilitation time. The mattress provides thermal insulation decreasing the potential for hypothermia. The mattress is easy to use, and also X-ray and MRI compatible. A compact dry-bag case enables the mattress to be stored in an interior  or exterior compartment. Durable manual pump evacuates  mattress in less than 25 seconds. Six padded handles for easy lifting.

However the Vacuum Mattress can be supplemented with a  Vertical Rescue Stretcher if the nature of onboard spaces  dictates this.
